Litigation Support Specialist
Immediate opportunity for a Litigation Support Professional in Los Angeles, CA!

Provide firm-wide eDiscovery services in support of the Firm’s litigation efforts through the use of technology. Consult with case teams and make recommendations in accordance with eDiscovery best practices and the EDRM. Communicate effectively with all levels of Firm personnel.  Position reports to the Litigation Support Dept. Manager.

Requirements Responsibilities Include:
  • Serve as a resource for case teams regarding document review, production formats, eDiscovery best practices, legal technology software, and case management tools;
  • Adhere to ESI workflow strategies; design databases according to established protocols and procedures;
  • Provide routine assistance in meeting project deadlines (e.g., copy or create CD/DVD’s, transfer data to/from network shares and encrypted hard drives; assist with production uploads and downloads, generate on-demand FTP links for case teams);
  • Monitor Dept. workload and coordinate jobs with external eDiscovery project managers (PMs); and coordinate advanced searching/reporting, analytics and TAR with PMs.
  • Thorough understanding of the litigation process and eDiscovery best practices, with practical knowledge of the EDRM and supporting technologies;
  • 5+ years of experience in a law firm or vendor environment designing databases, loading data, troubleshooting and resolving issues, and generating productions from both Relativity and eClipse;
  • Strong aptitude for technology, specifically litigation support tools and database applications, with ability to provide training and support to end-users;
  • Possess a strong client-service orientation and responsive to attorney, paralegal and client needs; display professionalism, quality service and a "can do" attitude to all members of the firm;
  • Attentive to detail with ability to manage multiple projects at a time; and work well in a fast-paced environment under deadline in a well-organized manner;
  • Ability to proactively manage workflow, troubleshoot and resolve issues, or escalate immediately;
  • Possess a working knowledge of tracking time as a timekeeper, and allocating it appropriately to client and departmental matters;
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development;
  • Bachelor’s degree, eDiscovery and project management certifications preferred.
