Canadian citizens travelling by air to, through, or from the U.S. must present one of the following documents:

  • a passport, which must be valid for the duration of your stay; or

This requirement applies to all Canadian citizens, including children.

There is also a $5.50 USD border crossing fee when travelling to the U.S. by air. This fee is normally included in the ticket purchase price.
