Our Mission

The International Practice Management Association (IPMA) is the premier resource for information and education on the management of paralegals and other practice support professionals in law firms and law departments globally. Its mission is to advocate for the effective use and management of these professionals, to promote and enhance the proficiency and professionalism of its members, and to provide thought leadership to the membership, the legal industry and the public at large on the value of utilization and management of paralegals and other practice support professionals.

Three days of targeted educational programming and unique peer networking opportunities make the IPMA Annual Conference & Expo the legal industry's leading event for practice support management professionals. This year's agenda will feature hot topics, latest trends, and current issues affecting practice managers and the support professionals they supervise.

Present at Conference!

You're invited to be a voice within the legal practice support management community!

We are seeking forward-thinking speakers to present thoughtful perspective gained through personal experience in human resources, technology and innovation, communications, organizational management, and career development. Educational programs that contain engaging, collaborative components and/or demonstrate new approaches or new tools and techniques are popular with IPMA conference participants.

Breakout sessions are 60 to 75 minutes in length. Please be sure your proposed program can be presented within the allotted time. Sessions are scheduled for Thursday, October 12, and Friday, October 13, 2017.

Continuing education credit: All presentations will be reviewed by the IPMA Conference Program Committee to establish qualifying criteria for continuing education credit approval by NALA, NFPA, ALA, SHRM, and the ABA. Please indicate in your submission whether your proposed presentation has been pre-approved for continuing education credit.
